Chutneys are the most important part of indian cuisine which gives your palette a moist flavour and can be had with any snacks or appetizers. This green coconut peanut chutney is full of nutrients and made with ingredients which are easily available in market.
You can have this chutney with all sorts of south indian starters including dosa, idli, paniyaram, uttapam, etc. This can be had with any other north indian appetizer as well to give the snack extra nutty flavour. So what are we waiting for?.
Let’s get cooking a healthy and yummy Green Coconut Peanut Chutney!
PREPARATION TIME: 5 mins COOKING TIME: 10 – 15 mins
- Grated Coconut
- Roasted Peanuts
- Green Chillies (5-6)
- Garlic (6-8 cloves)
- Coriander leaves
- Curry Leaves
- Mustard seeds and oil for tempering
Method to Cook:
Take grated coconut, roasted peanuts, garlic cloves, ginger, coriander, curry leaves, green chillies in a mixture grinder. Blend it for few minutes to make a thick puree consistency. You can add a little water to the mixture if it is too dry to blend.
Add some salt to taste in the chutney. Squeeze some lemon to it and mix.
Take a pan. Add a table spoon of oil. Heat it and add some mustard seeds to it.
Put the tempering made in step 3 over the chutney. Serve it in a bowl. Yummy chutney is ready to savour with your evening snacks or breakfast!
